It was like a movie when the submission date for our project was fast approaching, all motives to plan flew as tension sets in. Was it feasible? Well, here we are!

Using a Fintech company- PiggyVest as a case study

PiggyVest is one of the top best fintech companies in Nigeria, formerly known as PiggyBank is a platform that allows businesses and individuals to manage their finances effectively through savings and investment. PiggyVest platform is available on the app and web with a user-friendly interface and design.

Our Research Process

Our main focus is to create a marketing plan and content calendar. Understanding the brand:

  • What does the brand do?
  • Purpose of the brand ( goals, mission, and objectives)
  • Their selling points
  • What makes them unique
  • Their competitors
  • Their target audience**

All these questions came in handy in drafting our marketing plan.

Understanding the Brand Marketing and Content Strategy

Detailed market research was carried out by gathering a list of useful information from the brand’s customer pinpoint, feedback, and engagements from previous marketing campaigns and Social media platforms. We collated our data through customer reviews, feedback, complaints, word of mouth, and groups.

Some important aspects that we leveraged; were previous marketing campaigns, content marketing strategies, content type, social media platforms, engagements, and competitors. The hassle here was drafting the right user personas to fit into our target audience. But alas we did!

The data got from the research, we used to draft our marketing strategy and tactics, content type across platforms, and the content calendar putting into consideration the content types.

It was a great and enlightening experience to research and draft content for one of the biggest fintech brands in Nigeria. Savings is really the best way to secure finances and not incur debt.
